Read full reviewIk was al vaker bij Kaatje geweest, dus ik verheugde me op een avond fijn eten. We hadden een aanbieding voor een 9-gangen amusediner geboekt. Voor een mooi prijsje dacht ik. Ik heb een goede avond gehad, maar toen de rekening kwam was ik wel even geschokt. De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding vond ik dit keer niet goed. Voornamelijk de vegetarische eter komt er bekaaid af. Sommige gerechten waren te gemakzuchtig en te saai. Wat er echter wél met kop en schouders uitstak was het toetje met kersen, dat voldeed absoluut aan mijn verwachtingen. We geven vaker behoorlijke bedragen uit aan eten, dus op zich schrik ik niet van de prijs, maar voor wat de vegetarische eter er dit keer voor krijgt betekent voor mij dat ik voorlopig niet meer naar Kaatje ga. De carnivoor van het gezelschap was wel iets beter te spreken overigens, maar niet overenthousiast.
Zeer kleine ruimte waardoor je totaal geen privacy hebt in het voeren van een conversatie en daardoor een zeer luidruchtig viertal de avond geheel heeft opgeeist.
Vriendelijk personeel, maar de dames dreunen een ingestudeerd riedeltje op om meer omzet te kunnen maken dan de deal.
Ik weet zo geen ander alternatief...

Ik snap dat dit soort deals een druk legt op een restaurant, maar het is ook een hele mooie gelegenheid om nieuwe klanten te werven. Zowel direct, als indirect.
Ik heb een duim omhoog, omdat een duim naar beneden te zwaar zou wegen. Ik had graag een neutale gekozen.

Wat wel enig sinds storend ervaren is het constante het geloop en ge-ren in het restaurant van de bediening die ,overdreven, haar/zijn gastheerschap uitvoerde. Maar dat zal wel horen in een sterrenrestaurant. Een glas "huiswijn" berekenen voor 6 euro waarvoor nog geen vierde van een glas word geschonken noemen ik zuinig.... Maar-ja, er moet toch ergens aan verdiend worden.
Mooie locatie, prima bediening maar eten was iets te extreem qua smaken
