De naam van het restaurant is wat misleidend, want je hebt vanaf het restaurant over het algemeen geen zicht aan de rivier.
We hadden gekozen voor het chef special menu en waren blij verrast met de geserveerde gerechten waarbij telkens uitgebreid werd uitgelegd wat we kregen. Ook de wijnen waren zeer smakelijk met een duidelijke uitleg waarom ze bij de gerechten waren gekozen.
De bediening is uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Dit restaurant is zeker een aanrader en een herhaalbezoek zal dan ook zeker nog eens plaats vinden.
4 gangen chefs verrassingsmenu, met hoofdgerecht vis.
Erbij een mooie witte wijn uit Roemenië, een pinot grigio, die er erg goed bij paste.
Heerlijke smaken. Voldoende ruime porties.
Vlotte bediening, door aardige jongelui.

About The Riverside
Restaurant The Riverside is located on a historic site in Maarssen. In 2021, the restaurant has undergone a complete metamorphosis. For example, it has been given a contemporary modern design where you can enjoy yourself in a relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen, led by chef Tom Vermeulen, has also been given a metamorphosis. The menu changes four times a year and is all about surprise. Perfectly composed flavor explosions where every bite should be a surprise. In short, a wonderful place for a nice lunch or dinner.
