Het restaurant ziet er erg gezellig uit, je op mooi banken zitten, heel hip.
Bediening was vriendeling maar niet helemaal scherp en gaf weinig uitleg bij de gerechten.
Eten was oke maar niet verrassend, voor de vega's onder ons viel het wel tegen. Het hoofdgerecht was wel heel erg simpel (spaghetti met paddenstoe...

Eten was oke maar niet verrassend, voor de vega's onder ons viel het wel tegen. Het hoofdgerecht was wel heel erg simpel (spaghetti met paddenstoelen en room) en bij een tussengerecht was gewoonweg de vis weggelaten.
Helaas geen rising star in mijn optiek.
Super lekker gegeten en fijne, vriendelijke bediening. Echt een aanrader!
De ontvangst was rommelig, het eten erg lekker en de bediening vriendelijk. De bestellingen verliepen meermalen niet goed en het duurde steeds erg lang tussen de gangen. Na ruim tweeënhalf uur werd - nadat wij aan de bel trokken - eindelijk het dessert geserveerd (wat heerlijk was).
Heerlijk menu in de restaurantweek. Wel vonden wij 8,5 euro voor een minimaal glaasje rose aan de prijs. Jonge vriendelijke maar onervaren bediening.
Goed gegeten. We hadden het viergangen menu van de chef. De tweede gang, asperges met coquille en garnalen, was bijzonder lekker en goed gecombineerd .
Rest was gewoon goed.
Vriendelijke en efficiënte bediening.

Restaurant The Riverside is located on a historic site in Maarssen. In 2021, the restaurant has undergone a complete metamorphosis. For example, it has been given a contemporary modern design where you can enjoy yourself in a relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen, led by chef Tom Vermeulen, has also been given a metamorphosis. The menu changes four times a year and is all about surprise. Perfectly composed flavor explosions where every bite should be a surprise. In short, a wonderful place for a nice lunch or dinner.
