Er was onduidelijkheid over onze bestelling, maar zonder blikken of blozen werd de soep omgeruild voor het andere voorgerecht. Erg netjes opgelost!
We konden ook niet merken dat ze het vervelend vonden dat er omgeruild moest worden, en dat is toch wel erg professioneel!
Uistekend gedineerd in een heerlijke ambiance
Donderdag 30-8 jl tijdens de RestaurantWeek in Ambacht geweest. Komen regelmatig in de Heeren van Slydregt, dus heel benieuwd. Kan je in Slydregt kiezen tussen de Brasserie en/of het Restaurant, in Ambacht niet dus en dat zit er precies tussen in. Een prachtig terras (waar het te koud voor was) en volop parkeergeleg...

Een keuzemenu tijdens de Restaurantweek, dat zie je zelden!! De ontvangst was hartelijk en de bediening (o.a. Ellen) was uitstekend. Heel jammer dat de tafeltjes zo dicht op elkaar staan, je ontkomt er niet aan de gesprekken van je wederzijdsde buren te beluisteren en hun gerechten te bekijken, maar dat heeft ook zo z'n voordelen, want de menukeuzes worden dan wel wat gemakkelijker. Voordat we wat over het belangrijkste (het eten) gaan zeggen, eerst een opmerking over het geluid. Hiervoor komen wij dus niet meer terug, wat een herrie, doe daar eens wat aan!
Het RestaurantWeekKeuzeMenu was prima. M'n tafelgenote koos dezelfde gerechten, tenslotte hadden wij alle gerechten links en rechts al voorbij zien komen. Het Vitello Tonato-voorgerecht was ruim geportioneerd, maar een beetje flauw van smaak.Een wenk naar Ellen was al genoeg, de zout- en pepermolen had ze bij zich. De keuze voor het hoofdgerecht was niet zo moeilijk. De hele eendenborsten, die we voorbij zagen gaan, zagen er prima uit, maar voor ons teveel van het goede. Ook tijdens de RestaurantWeek zijn seniorenporties aan te bevelen! Wij kozen voor de "op de huid gebakken kabeljauw met chorizo", prima gegaard, heerlijk dus. Het nagerecht, het Pertit grand desert was uitstekend, dus ging het cijfer voor de cuisine toch nog van zeven naar acht. Alleen € 5.50 voor 0,75 ltr.bruiswater, dat kan echt niet. Al met al was de rekening met € 108,85 acceptabel.
