Ze vroegen 2 keer lactose vrij? nee geen vlees wel vis. Geen toegevoegde suiker.
Tijdens het serveren moest er toch weer iets veranderd worden..Suiker zat er in.Weer de vraag wel of geen vis?
Een heerlijke lunch genoten bij Amarone met maar liefst 6 amuses en allemaal erg lekker. Bediening was vriendelijk en professioneel. Er was ook nog een klein pre-dessert. We hebben ervan genoten.
De amuses leken veel op het jaar daarvoor. Hoofdgerecht dat was vlees en was in de mond zacht, maar stug om te snijden. Het toetje vond ik ook erg karig. Al met al vond ik de ervaring veel minder dan vorig jaar.
Bediening was goed en ook keurig dat er bij het bestellen van van een glas Amarone het bedrag van € 15,00 genoemd werd.

Je komt voor een 3 gangenlunch ontvangt uiteindelijk 7 gangen met alle gerechtjes vooraf en tussendoor.
Met 5 kleine en een substantiëlere amuse was de start bij Amarone overweldigend.
Sublieme smaken, verfijnde wijnen en een attente bediening - geleid door Sally -maakten de avond tot een culinair feestje, de Michelin ster meer dan waardig. We'll be back.

Restaurant Amarone* is located in the lively shopping street de Meent in Rotterdam. The restaurant exudes a classic, luxurious atmosphere.
Jan van Dobben will be the owner of star restaurant Amarone in Rotterdam from 1 July 2018. The chef was co-owner of the restaurant since last year. His wife and oenologist Yoshiko van Dobben-Takayama fulfils the role of hostess-sommelier.
Jan van Dobben's style is based on French, modern and Japanese cuisine. He always allows the core of the flavour in the ingredients to speak and ensures harmony in dishes.
Together with his wife, Sous-chef Yuri Wattimena and Maitre Jasper Verhagen they managed to keep the star in 2019. The enthusiastic team ensures a relaxed relationship with the guests in this restaurant with international appeal. In total the restaurant has 15 Gault & Millau points.
