Zojuist de allerbeste ervaring op het gebied van eten en drinken gehad in restaurant amarone. Het eten was subliem en op aanraden van de sommelier een goede fles wijn gekocht in plaats van het wijn arrangement. Subliem! Van begin tot eind een feest voor de zintuigen met schitterende gerechten en een waanzinnige wijn die met alle gangen perfect gepaard ging. Oké, je moet er je nier voor verkopen maar als je de mogelijkheid hebt, ga hier een keer eten! Hele dikke aanrader aan de Meent. Joelia en Parkheuvel, eat your hart out.

Restaurant Amarone* is located in the lively shopping street de Meent in Rotterdam. The restaurant exudes a classic, luxurious atmosphere.

Jan van Dobben will be the owner of star restaurant Amarone in Rotterdam from 1 July 2018. The chef was co-owner of the restaurant since last year. His wife and oenologist Yoshiko van Dobben-Takayama fulfils the role of hostess-sommelier.

Jan van Dobben's style is based on French, modern and Japanese cuisine. He always allows the core of the flavour in the ingredients to speak and ensures harmony in dishes.

Together with his wife, Sous-chef Yuri Wattimena and Maitre Jasper Verhagen they managed to keep the star in 2019. The enthusiastic team ensures a relaxed relationship with the guests in this restaurant with international appeal. In total the restaurant has 15 Gault & Millau points.
