Jan van Dobben will be the owner of star restaurant Amarone in Rotterdam from 1 July 2018. The chef was co-owner of the restaurant since last year. His wife and oenologist Yoshiko van Dobben-Takayama fulfils the role of hostess-sommelier.
Jan van Dobben's style is based on French, modern and Japanese cuisine. He always allows the core of the flavour in the ingredients to speak and ensures harmony in dishes.
Together with his wife, Sous-chef Yuri Wattimena and Maitre Jasper Verhagen they managed to keep the star in 2019. The enthusiastic team ensures a relaxed relationship with the guests in this restaurant with international appeal. In total the restaurant has 15 Gault & Millau points.
