"Leuke sfeer maar helaas, een nare nasmaak…"

Wat begon als een leuke, gezellige avond eindigde helaas in een deceptie.
Ondanks het feit dat men niet had gereageerd op een mail met vragen over het menu die ik 3 dagen voor aankomst had verstuurd, was de ontvangst zeer hartelijk en persoonlijk en ook de ambiance beloofde veel goeds.

Eten blijft altijd een kwestie van smaak, wij vonden het lekker maar zeker niet bijzonder. Porties waren net-an maar je moet niet al teveel trek hebben, kortom niet echt geweldig (ongeacht de bib-gourmand) maar de sfeer maakte een hoop goed.

De bediening was echter zeer wisselend. De Nederlands sprekende dame was goed geïnformeerd en duidelijke te verstaan. De Engels sprekende dame begon ongevraagd In het Engels zonder te vragen of iedereen dat wel begreep. Voor ons weliswaar geen issue, maar toch goed om dit voortaan eerst te checken.

Tegen het einde vh dinner werd het allemaal een stuk minder.
Het begon bij de portionering van in dit geval het extra kaas bordje dat bestond uit 5 hele kleine stukje waar zelfs een muis niet genoeg aan zou hebben.
Dit werd gevolgd door een discussie over de prijs. Vooraf vroeg ik wat dit extra bordje zou kosten en dat bleek 8,50 te zijn. Dat lijkt in verhouding tot de portie maar op de rekening stond echter 17€ want men had zich vergist. Helaas werd dit mijn probleem gemaakt en zo ook met het Heerlijk ALL-in 6 gangen menu waar alles in zou moeten zitten, vandaar de naam. (zowel wijn als water als Koffie met friandises)

Helaas dacht de jongeman in de bediening daar heel anders over. Maar na enig aandringen werd de rekening voor een klein deel gecorrigeerd, maar zeker nog niet wat het had moeten zijn.

Wij hebben de discussie gelaten voor wat het is en ons verlies genomen. Met een nare nasmaak zijn we vertrokken en zullen hier dan ook voorlopig niet terugkeren.
Jammer, want aan de plek en de inrichting ligt het zeker niet.
