Op zondag wat rustiger als je laat reserveert
Gezellige avondje uit gehad met elkaar en heerlijk genoten van alle gerechten!
We hebben ons 26jarig relatiejubileum mogen vieren bij Oxalis. We hebben een 5 gangen diner gehad met de heerlijkste shared dining hapjes. We hadden een kortingscoupon, maar in tegenstelling tot sommige andere restaurants was er daarbij geen verschil in bediening of kwaliteit van het eten. Superervaring!

Het restaurant voldeed niet helemaal aan de hoge verwachting. De amuse was veel te zuur (commentaar: "wij houden van fris") en het tweede gerecht was futloos, niets bijzonders. Hoofdgerecht: varkens wangetjes, mooi bereid, goed gerecht. Het zoete desert was erg goed bereid maar het voor het alternatief, 5-6 stukjes ...

Hoofdgerecht: varkens wangetjes, mooi bereid, goed gerecht. Het zoete desert was erg goed bereid maar het voor het alternatief, 5-6 stukjes kaas, werd 6 of 7 € berekent, en dat is net teveel. Wij moesten ook bijna een uur op het hoofdgerecht wachten. In deze tijd heeft niemand genoeg personeel maar er is altijd wel tijd om even langs te komen en te vertellen dat het "wat langer duurt" of anderszins een vinger aan de pols te houden. Sfeer wel erg goed en het restaurant is smaakvol aangekleed. Myers 2.0, in Medemblik is dichtbij Oxalis en is veel beter.

About Oxalis
Restaurant Oxalis by Geoffrey van Melick is a small living room restaurant with a suite. The restaurant is located in the old post office of Wervershoof in the tourist triangle between Hoorn, Enkhuizen, and Medemblik.
The restaurant was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand in November 2018 for a good price-quality ratio.
"What is good does not have to come from far," that is Restaurant Oxalis' credo. Restaurant Oxalis is, therefore, the perfect place for an extensive dinner or lunch.
The ingredients are pure and natural and come from the local West Friesland.
