The chef came himself to ask for our experience and apologies for the unusual delays and offerd us a complimentary drink. This has directly corrected the small irritation of the evening and left a very good taste. We have enjoyed very much and definitely will come again!!
The restaurant pretends to be "top level" however, though the food was nice, none of us were really impressed. Food was all well taken care of by the chefs, all properly cooked. I have never been treated this rude while paying top-price and this is something that will have to change. I have seen quite a lot of top-level restaurants around the world, and it is safe to say that the service here is not in my top 1000. I hope the service level will improve because otherwise it is not worth your time nor your money. The time spent on the story behind the food should also be spent on educating staff on how to deal with clients in a respectful manner.
Bijzondere smaakcombinaties, en allemaal even lekker. Het was eengrote culinaire verrassing. Gerechten die je nergens anders tegen komt.
Kortom een hele bijzondere ervaring. Wij gaan zeker nog eens terug.

Read full reviewMet de restaurantweek gaan eten bij El Qatarijne. We hebben een driegangen menu genomen. Het eten was qua smaak erg goed. Alleen waren de porties vrij summier. We zijn grote eters, dus dat komt helaas wel vaker voor. De tijd tussen de gangen was soms ook best lang. Het had van mij wat sneller gekund. Over de drank was ik minder te spreken en dan met name de prijs en de hoeveelheid die je krijgt. We gaan regelmatig uit eten in de wat 'prijzigere' restaurants en nemen dan vaak een bob-arrangement met halve glazen. Aangezien we nu maar drie gangen hadden genomen, hebben we een normaal wijnarrangement genomen. De hoeveelheden deden mij meer denken aan een halve-glazen-arrangement. Voor gemiddeld 7 euro per glas, mag je in mijn optiek wel iets meer wijn verwachten. Als je met champagne start, moet je rekening houden met een prijs van 13,50 per glas Water (plat) is 6 euro per fles, ook dat vind ik best aan de hoge kant voor veredeld kraanwater. Al met al wel lekker gegeten.

We'd like to mention here that we also discussed this matter at the end of your evening and we sincerely apologized for our tone of voice. Nontheless, we believe in a concept that is most certainly nót comparable to any restaurant in the world; and we will not change the policy of presenting the food we serve, the way we want to.
