Genoten van het driegangendiner. Met vooraf een amuse (bisque van Hollandse garnalen met gezouten citroen). Daarna makreel met bouillon van aarbei en tomaat, schuim van zuring. Rode mul als hoofdgerecht en nectarine met citroensorbet toe. Gerechten zijn eenvoudig, maar smakelijk. Het eten is, zoals dat tegenwoordig heet: 'hoog op smaak'. Of wel: wat zout is, is (erg) zout, wat zoet is, is (erg) zoet. Zuur heeft een ondergeschikte rol; mag van mij wat prominenter. De zaak zelf is een typische bistro: ongemakkelijke hoge stoelen en tafels (of de bar, met uitzicht op de keukenbrigade). Dit is geen gelegenheid om zeer uitgebreid en lang te tafelen, maar prima voor een gezellige lunch of diner van goede kwaliteit. Al met al een heel positieve ervaring, en de prijs/kwaliteitverhouding is uitstekend gebruik makend van de restaurantweekaanbieding.

Heerlijk vis diner, echt fantastisch. Leuke bediening en een heel relaxte sfeer in het restaurant. We hebben ervan genoten.

After restaurant 212** and De Juwelier*, the chefs here also take you on a culinary journey. This time to the sea. Here it's all about all the good things the sea has to offer. As at 212**, the focus of the restaurant here is on the bar. Bistro de la Mer has a French 1920s style where you enjoy fish at its (very, very) best!
